ABOUT SOCIAL GOOD SUMMIT
Social Good Summit was a conference which aimed to discuss how technology, innovation and social media can make the world a better place. The Summit took place between 25 and 28 September, 2015 around the world, with the theme: “New Goals. New Power. New Technology”. The Summit was supplemented by a week of related activities around the globe, including meet-ups hosted locally by members of the social good community, and signature events supported by Social Good Summit partners; which provided a shared platform for a global call to action to create the kind of world we want and identify innovations that can help make this world a reality.
Social Good Summit global organizers were: Mashable, 92nd Street Y, UN Foundation, UNDP.
The Social Good Summit in Vietnam took place on September 26, 2015 in Hanoi. HATCH! PROGRAM was the local partner of UNDP to organize the event to gather voices and ideas of citizens, including social experts, programmers, innovators to discuss about millennium sustainable development goals (SDGs) and how technology and new media to are promoted and used to inspire action for people and planet.
In the event, HATCH! PROGRAM and its partners also introduced Hackathon for Social Good, as well as raise for registration and ideas of participants to create technology initiatives that can address social challenges.
